Hello and welcome!
My name is Sally Gardner, and I am a devoted student and practitioner of yoga, a qualified 500hr+ yoga teacher, massage therapist, somatic movement instructor, yoga nidrā facilitator and an 850hr yoga therapist in training with The Yoga Therapy Institute, Amsterdam.
As a yoga and massage therapist, I’m passionate about helping people release tension, restore balance, and feel more like themselves again - even when life feels overwhelming, stressful, or physically challenging. Having personally experienced persistent pain and chronic tension, I understand how exhausting it can be when stress, discomfort, or life’s demands impact your daily routine and the activities you love. This experience fuels my compassion and dedication to creating supportive, personalised pathways that meet each individual exactly where they are.
I’ve had the privilege of working with people experiencing stress, burnout, chronic pain, and conditions such as CRPS, fibromyalgia, and osteoarthritis, as well as those carrying everyday tension in the shoulders, back, and hips. These experiences have deepened my understanding of how complex the body and mind can be, and how important it is to approach wellbeing holistically, integrating both physical and nervous system support. I know first hand how vital it is to have the right tools and environment to restore calm, build resilience, and move through life with ease.
My approach blends a deep knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and mind-body practices with practical, grounded guidance informed by yogic philosophy and modern pain science. Whether we’re working on movement, relaxation, or restoring balance, I create a warm, safe, and compassionate space where you feel truly heard. Together, we focus on building a sustainable practice that supports your wellbeing, helping you move more freely, rest deeply, and navigate life with confidence and comfort.
While selected cases are overseen by my supervisors at The Yoga Therapy Institute, as part of my continued training and to ensure that you receive the best possible care and support, I want to assure you that all cases presented are kept anonymous and are only shared with your approval. Please also know that I am always happy to work alongside others including medical doctors, psychotherapists and other healthcare professionals, while using Yoga Therapy as a complementary discipline to support you. As a student of The Yoga Therapy Institute and a student member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists, I follow and am held to their professional code of ethics and responsibilities in all of my work.
